What is BioMedica?
BioMedica is an open-access, peer-reviewed, quarterly journal and the official journal of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, Pakistan. Its ISSN is 1992-4852 and its E-ISSN is 2710-3471. See About Journal.
Who owns and publishes BioMedica?

Is BioMedica open access, and under which licence?
Yes. All content is free to read online, and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. See Open Access Statement.
Does BioMedica charge fees?
Yes. Each author pays a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2,000 (US$35 for foreign authors) at submission. A publishing fee, which depends on the article type, is paid after acceptance. For example, an Original Article costs Rs. 8,000 (US$95) and a Review Article Rs. 10,000 (US$110). See Article Processing Charges.
Does BioMedica offer waivers?
Partial waivers are possible only after the Editor reviews and approves a request. No more than two manuscripts per issue may receive a waiver.
Is there a fee for corrections after publication?
Yes. A correction fee of EUR 99 applies if a correction is requested after publication.
How does peer review work at BioMedica?
The journal uses double-blind peer review. Every research article is reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts. See Peer Review Policy.
Can I withdraw my manuscript?
Withdrawal after processing is generally not allowed unless there is a valid and justifiable reason. If the Editorial Board allows it case by case, the full publication fee is still payable. See Article Processing Charges.
